Matters Of Indifference

Iggy asks some great questions at his Emerging Thought in Montana blog today. Iggy talks about matters of indifference, or doctrinal issues that are just not important enough to get worked up over. To put it another way, which doctrines are core to our faith and which can we just ‘agree to disagree’ over?

Iggy asks two questions and invites a dialog:

  • What are the primary points of theology that must be safeguarded as foundational to Christianity?
  • What are secondary points of theology that can be accepted as less than essential for the life and mission of the Church?

These are important questions that are worth conversion over. Head over and contribute if you have a few minutes to spare.
