I wonder - does God grieve as I do? Too often I am separated from my children by geography, by distance. I hate this reality and grieve over it tremendously. I grieve so deeply that sometimes the pain feels physical - I actually am unable to tell sometimes whether the pain is physical or emotional. It is the pain of a heart breaking.
I wonder - does God feel the same when his children are alienated and distant from him? Does the Father feel the same pain?
It is perhaps ironic that I may never have reflected on this were it not for my own pain and grief…
